Weary of constraints brought on by the pandemic, nearly two-thirds of consumers are tired of cooking at home and more than half are bored with comfort foods, according to the “Home Cooking During COVID: Tired or Inspired?” infographic by the SMARTeam, Advantage Sales’ consumer goods insights team.

More than half (55%) of Americans are eating at home more often since the pandemic started and 85% have changed the way they eat. A majority of home chefs (65%) are cooking regularly from scratch and making healthier meals (56%).

Those looking for recipes and cooking tips are turning to online searches and social media, with young adults, especially, seeking and sharing cooking videos.
