Consumers are looking for menu cues that will help them feel good about what they’re eating, in both taste and healthiness, according to “The Flavor Atlas World of Feel-Good Eating,” a new infographic published by Marlin Network, an Advantage Marketing Partners agency.

Among the menu terms seeing the biggest bump in usage are “vegan,” “protein” and “sustainable,” while the terms “cholesterol free,” “low fat” and “farm raised” are being used less often.

Superfoods more likely to be found on menus now include red wine, kale, cauliflower and, growing in popularity, acai, hemp, miso, cacao, goji and prickly pear.
