Working at Advantage

IRVINE, Calif. ― Mariah Guadian, an inside sales representative at Advantage Solutions, is the first recipient of the Advantage Better Together Education Scholarship and was presented with an award of $5,000 toward her college education for the 2022-2023 school year.

Guadian is continuing her education at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an eye toward a master’s degree.

“I will be the first generation in my family to graduate from college,” Guadian said. “I am proud of my culture and thankful for the family who raised me.

“The world is constantly changing, especially the business world. I have already gained exceptional knowledge, especially in human resource management, professional development, business communication and legal, social and ethical aspects of business.”

Launched earlier this year, the Advantage Better Together Education Foundation was created to provide financial assistance to associates wishing to pursue their personal and professional goals through higher education.

The program and application process for the 2023-2024 academic year will be available online in March 2023. Part-time and full-time Advantage associates in the U.S. and Canada with a minimum of one year of employment with the company will be eligible to apply. The program is open to high school graduates and college undergraduates enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited college or university. Associates may reapply for scholarships each school year.
