IRVINE, CALIF. — Dimitri Alberti, a field engagement trainer with Advantage Solutions, and Nataly Sanchez, a sales advisor with Advantage’s Club Demonstration Services (CDS) business, will receive Advantage Better Together Education scholarships for $10,000 each for the 2023-24 academic year.

Alberti, a resident of Edinboro, Pa., is currently in the graduate program at Pennsylvania Western (Pennwest) University, where he is studying to be a clinical mental health counselor and hopes to work with individuals who have experienced trauma such as PTSD.

“The urgent need for mental health professionals to help this misunderstood population aligns with my overall goal to improve the lives of other individuals and make a difference in the world,” Alberti says. “Receiving this scholarship not only provided me with much-needed financial support, it has lifted a significant burden off my shoulders. Graduate school is incredibly expensive, and with this generous assistance, I am now able to put more focus on my career aspirations.

“I am truly honored and humbled that I was one of the individuals picked for the scholarship,” he adds. “Advantage’s belief in my potential has instilled in me a renewed sense of confidence and motivation to excel academically.”

Sanchez, who lives and works in San Diego, attends the city’s Point Loma Nazarene University as a graduate student working on her master’s in education, with an emphasis in higher education, college counseling and student development.

“I am the first person in my family to finish high school, go to college and get a bachelor’s degree, and the first who will graduate with a master’s degree,” says Sanchez. “Working as a CDS sales advisor has literally allowed me to pay for graduate school. Without CDS, I never would have been able to afford it. As of right now, I have taken out zero loans, and I am really, really proud of that. That is all because of Advantage and CDS.”

Launched in 2022, the Advantage Better Together Education Foundation was created to provide financial assistance to team members who want to pursue their personal and professional goals through higher education. Each year, part-time and full-time employees in the U.S. and Canada in all of Advantage’s divisions and agencies — with a minimum of one year of employment with the company — may apply for one of 10 scholarships for $10,000. The program is open to high school students and graduates, college undergraduates and graduate students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited college or university for the entire academic year.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, a leader in private scholarship management.
