Once again, the annual Advantage Solutions Charity Classic golf outing in September was a tremendous success, with more than 50 manufacturer client companies joining together with 60 retailers and industry leaders to help raise $125,000 for City of Hope Cancer Research and Treatment Centers.

“Many of our manufacturer clients shared with us that the networking with their customers, industry peers and Advantage executives at the Charity Classic is best-in-class in the industry,” says Tom Michaelis, Advantage president of sales North America.

And the day spent on the links at Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Coast, Calif., was for a good cause.

Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope’s national network of hospitals and clinical locations offers patients, families and communities across the United States access to compassionate and comprehensive cancer care.

“The Advantage Charity Classic was a spectacular event where our clients, customers and associates came together to play golf at the beautiful Pelican Hill Resort, in order to connect and support City of Hope,” says Michaelis. “Our associates were amazingly engaging, the event logistics and coordination by Dee Harriman and Stu Victor were meticulous and they and their teams worked tirelessly. Everyone had a terrific time, and the weather was perfect.”

Following the day of golf, clients and retailers joined with the Advantage team for cocktails, dinner and more opportunities to connect at the Red O in Newport Beach, Calif.

Advantage Solutions has hosted the Charity Classic for 27 years. Combined with other activities held on behalf of its clients, including another golf outing in Northern California in August that raised $45,000, Advantage has now donated more than $5 million in total to City of Hope.

Next year’s Advantage Charity Classic is scheduled for mid-September at Pelican Hill. More details will be available soon.
