As Americans move toward a post-pandemic world, they’ll seek out beverage brands that focus on health, social concerns and functional benefits, according to “Post-Pandemic Punch,” a new infographic by SMARTeam, Advantage Sales’ consumer goods insights team.

Among the beverage claims shoppers want to try are prebiotics, antioxidants, probiotics, high/added fiber, and vitamins/minerals fortified. In the alcohol beverage segment, consumers are looking for healthier options, including low calorie, low (or no) alcohol and biodynamic and organic options.

During the pandemic, consumers moved their attention and funds to at-home indulgences and this trend is expected to continue to affect their choice of beverages.
