Four out of five menus include peppers in some form, with the most common being green, red, jalapeno and pepperoncini, according to “The Flavor Atlas World of Pepper Flavors,” a new infographic published by Marlin Network, an Advantage Marketing Partners agency.

While ancho and chipotle still appear on many menus, they are slowing in popularity, as newly emerging pepper-derived flavors, like gochujang, harissa, togarashi and piri piri, are on the rise.
