Margaritas remain supreme in the cocktail section of menus, as they’re now found on nearly 57% of menus, up 7% over the past four years, according to “Cocktails, Please,” the latest Flavor Atlas infographic published by Marlin Network, an Advantage Marketing Partners agency.
The classic martini is found on nearly 37% of menus and is most commonly paired with lemon, fruit liqueur, chocolate, espresso, vanilla and pineapple flavors.
The fastest-growing drinks on cocktail menus? The Aperol spritz, Kentucky Mule, Old Fashioned, hot toddy, Paloma and Boulevardier have all experienced more than 60% menu growth in the last four years. Trending flavors in cocktails include fruit liqueur, agave, orange, strawberry, mango, reposado and nectar.
